Picking out your first trampoline is always super tough. With so many different brands dedicated to manufacturing high-end trampolines these days, it can be extremely overwhelming when I have to single out a specific trampoline. Well, let’s not single out a specific trampoline, then.

Instead, I want to talk about two very well-known brands in the industry and highlight the difference between them. The brands I am talking about are Zupapa and Skywalker.

Zupapa vs. Skywalker Trampoline [Quick Comparison]

If you asked me to choose between Zupapa and Skywalker, you would be putting me in a pretty hard spot. I love both the brands, and having used their trampolines in the past myself, I can vouch for either of them.

The truth is that both brands offer a wide range of trampolines, and they each have their own fair share of strengths and weaknesses. Skywalker, for instance, does not do well in the weight department, and most of their trampolines have a lower weight capacity compared to Zupapa.

Zupapa Trampoline

Zupapa is a big name these days among trampoline fans, but it was not always like this. Compared to big names like Jumpking, or Upper Bounce, Zupapa is a pretty new name. But through their constant dedication to manufacturing better trampolines at an affordable price, they have gathered a huge following these days.

Currently, Zupapa has around nine distribution centers in the USA that cover 48 states. They also have a small but decent catalog of trampolines and backyard toys for you to choose from. Let me talk about some of the key features of Zupapa if you are considering picking up a trampoline for your backyard.

Features of Zupapa Trampoline

Features of Zupapa Trampoline

1. Design

Zupapa might not be the most versatile brand out there, but it still gives you a couple of great options to choose from. The thing I love about them is that they are not focused on manufacturing only outdoor trampolines. So, if you want an indoor trampoline for your home, you can find one in their catalog.

Check what are trampolines made off

For kids, Zupapa offers two specific trampolines, both of which are pretty great. You do not get much in terms of shape choices with the brand, though, as most of their trampolines are round. However, they do have a hexagonal trampoline that offers a breath of fresh air for a select group of people.

2. Weight limit

What Zupapa lacks in terms of versatility, they make up for it by giving you a much higher weight capacity than their competitors. Typically, their trampolines come with a higher spring count, which directly affects the weight capacity of the trampoline.

The lowest Zupapa trampoline weight capacity is around 375 pounds, which is a lot higher than what you would get with Skywalker. With the 15 feet model, in particular, the weight limit of 425 pounds makes it a great choice for adults and kids alike.

3. Safety Features

Safety has always been a priority for Zupapa, and you can see it clearly in the design of their trampolines. For one thing, you get a high-quality safety net with any trampolines you get from the brand. The enclosure net is made of polypropylene which is extremely durable and boasts high-tensile strength.

In addition, the trampolines also come with a strong ladder and often feature a no-gap enclosure system to prevent injuries. With some select models, you also get a rain cover included as a gift to protect your trampoline from moisture damage during rain. Considering the price of these trampolines, this is a pretty great deal.

4. Assembly

Trampolines, typically, are not that easy to assemble, and putting together a trampoline can take a fair bit of time. However, with Zupapa trampolines, the manufacturers tried to make things as simple as possible by giving you a clear and concise assembly guideline and parts list.

Besides, because of the easy-connecting T-hooks in the frame, putting it together is not that difficult even if you have never done it before. If you went with a smaller trampoline, you should be able to set it up alone, but for larger models, I would recommend getting someone to assist you.

5. Lifespan and Warranty

Weather-resistant galvanized steel frame, UV-resistant mat, and high tensile strength safety net are the three main things that dictate the durability of a trampoline. And if you decide to go with Zupapa trampolines, you will get all of these features without question.

What makes the brand even more appealing is its impressive warranty policy. It is one of the few brands out there that puts a warranty period of 10 years on its frames. For the mat, netting, and other components, the warranty period comes down to 2 years, which is still a lot more than what Skywalker offers.

6. Price

Of the two brands that I am talking about here, Zupapa is the more affordable choice. Is it the cheapest trampoline brand out there? Definitely not. But when it comes to the balance of price and quality, this brand is one of my favorites to go with as it offers amazing value.

While Zupapa may not offer a whole lot of variety compared to Skywalker, if you are on the market for a simple and straightforward trampoline that your whole family can enjoy, this is a great brand to go with. And their excellent warranty policy is just another cherry on top of an already great deal.

My Recommendation: Zupapa No-Gap Design 16 15 14 12 10 8FT Trampoline for Kids with Safety Enclosure

Now, I know I said Zupapa has a lot of affordable trampolines for you to choose from. However, for my recommendation, I will not go with those. Instead, I will recommend getting the Zupapa No-Gap Design Trampoline for Kids with Safety Enclosure, which is one of their premium models. Naturally, it cost a bit more, but the quality and performance are worth the price if you ask me.

Offering a size ranging from 8 feet all the way up to 16 feet, this outdoor recreational trampoline is a fantastic pickup for a family of all sizes. Depending on the size of the trampoline, the price can vary, with the smaller model costing a lot less than the bigger models.

And if you do have to go with a smaller trampoline because of budget issues, it should not put a dent in your experience because of its impressive weight capacity. Even the smallest 8 feet option has a capacity of around 375 pounds which is perfect for two or three kids. With the 16 feet model, the maximum weight limit goes up to 425 pounds making it perfect for adults.

The trampoline is built well and has all the top-notch security features you might expect at this price range. It comes with a premium galvanized steel frame that boasts excellent weather and moisture resistance. So, keeping it out in the rain should not be a problem.

Other components like the jumping mat, safety pads, and nets are all UV-resistant to ensure safe operation during sunny weather. I am particularly fond of the enclosure that you get with the trampoline.

Another thing that makes it awesome is its simple and straightforward installation process. This trampoline boasts the self-locking frame design pioneered by Zupapa that cuts down the assembly time by almost half.

The quality of the springs is also quite decent. Each of the springs is 7 inches in length, giving you great bounce on each jump. And as a bonus, the trampoline features a no-gap enclosure design that prevents you from accidentally getting caught between the springs.

As I said, this trampoline is a bit on the pricey side. If you want to get the largest model, which is 16 feet, you are looking at a price of around 750 dollars. For people on a tighter budget, I would recommend going with the smaller 10 or 12 feet option. The 8 feet model is also a great choice for kids.

This trampoline is protected under ten years of frame warranty and two years of parts warranty. So whichever size you decide to go with, your trampoline should be well-protected against any sort of damage for a good long while.

As an alternative, I would recommend the Zupapa Kids Small Trampoline with Net for around 150 dollars. Obviously, this trampoline is only suitable for kids. But for a tight budget and to make the kids happy, you cannot beat the quality of this trampoline.

Where Are Zupapa Trampolines Made?

Zupapa trampolines are made in Germany, where it undergoes a plethora of testing and inspection. Once it passes the inspection and certification under TUV, which means Technical Inspection Association, it is shipped all over the world. Because of their strict inspections, Zupapa trampolines are almost certain to give you a good experience.

Typically, Zupapa trampolines are shipped in 3 boxes arriving within three to five business days. While there are a few reports of boxes arriving with missing parts, most people get everything included in the box. If you are missing parts, you can contact the manufacturer, and they should send them out to you pronto.

Skywalker Trampoline

Whenever someone mentions Skywalker, my mind immediately relates the name to safety. As a trampoline brand, Skywalker is one of the finest that started out with a simple thought in mind; to provide a trampoline that is safe, durable, and fun for the family.

This is one of the earliest trampoline brands that started including enclosure nets with every purchase. In addition, they introduced the use of T-sockets to make their trampolines more stable. Needless to say, many manufacturers use the same design in their trampolines these days. Here are some of the main features you can expect to see if you go with a Skywalker trampoline.

Features of Skywalker Trampoline:

Features-of-Skywalker-Trampoline

1. Design

Let me say this right away when it comes to design choices and overall options, Zupapa has nothing on Skywalker. This brand gives you a wide range of trampolines to choose from in different sizes and shapes. So, you have a lot of flexibility in your choice.

They also specialize in designing trampolines for kids as well as adults. Some of their options, similar to Zupapa, include a built-in basketball hoop to add a bit more value to your investment. With so many different choices to go with, Skywalker makes for a really versatile brand.

2. Weight Limit

While Skywalker does make a couple of trampolines for adults, their main focus has always been on the kids. That can be a good thing and a bad thing. For example, if you are getting a trampoline for your kids, you will hardly find a brand better suited for the job than Skywalker.

However, this also means their trampolines typically have a lower weight capacity compared to their rivals. Most of their options have a weight limit of around 160 to 250 pounds. Sure, there are a couple of trampolines that can handle up to 350 pounds of weight, but they are rare and far between.

3. Safety Features

As I just said, Skywalker likes to focus on the kids. And that makes them more dedicated to enhancing safety features than any other brands out there. The first step that the brand takes towards giving you a safer trampolining experience is by giving you a high-end enclosure net to use with it.

The net is UV-resistant and is firm enough to keep the kids jumping on the trampoline inside even if they lose their balance while jumping. Furthermore, the brand revolutionized the use of T-socket connections making their trampolines a lot more stable than the competitors. Other than that, you get safety ladders and spring covers, both of which enhance the trampoline’s safety.

4. Assembly

Skywalker trampolines are not the worst when it comes to assembly, but they are certainly not the best. And the main culprit behind making its assembly challenging is the instruction manual. I have often found their manuals to be weirdly phrased, which can make installation more difficult than it has to be.

And to make matters worse, you almost always need a helping hand when setting up a Skywalker trampoline. Because of the many small components that you get with the trampoline, it can be hard to keep track of what goes where. In most cases, setting up a Skywalker trampoline can take around 3 to 5 hours.

5. Lifespan and Warranty

Durability is not a weakness of Skywalker trampolines, and you can expect each model to last you up to 6 years without complaints. These trampolines feature galvanized steel frames and springs that can withstand rain, snow, or any other extreme weather conditions.

Along with that, the quality of the jumping mat and included safety nets leave nothing to be desired. However, I am not a big fan of their warranty period. You get one year of frame warranty and three months of warranty for parts, which is frankly a lot less than other comparable brands.

6. Price

Skywalker might not be the most expensive trampoline brand out there, but if I am comparing it with Zupapa, it would be the pricier brand of the two. But the quality of their trampoline, especially when you are buying it for your kids, is undeniably better.

The main disadvantage of Skywalker trampolines is their somewhat frustrating assembly. For a new user, it might take a while to set up. However, if you have used one before, or have a decent idea of what you are doing, then this should not be too much of a deal-breaker.

My Recommendation: Skywalker Trampolines – Rectangle Jump-N-Dunk Trampoline with Enclosure

When it comes to Skywalker, there are definitely a lot more options to choose from. But regardless of how many different trampolines they throw in my face, I always end up going with the infamous Jump-N-Dunk.

This is a fantastic trampoline for kids that comes with a built-in basketball hoop. So, you can bet that your kids will love it.

This is a rectangular outdoor trampoline that gives you two different size options to choose from. Firstly, you have the 15 feet model that is perfect for two or more kids jumping on it at the same time. And if that feels a bit too pricy for you, the 14 feet model is a great option too.

Skywalker trampolines are typically not that big on weight capacity. Even the 15 feet model only has a weight capacity of 250 pounds which is definitely a bit of a letdown, especially if an adult wants to join in the fun.

But for a group of kids, the weight capacity is good enough for a safe and enjoyable experience.

Don’t let the lower weight capacity of the trampoline bum you out, though. The build quality of the trampoline makes up for what it lacks in that department giving you a galvanized steel frame and springs that are highly resistant to weather and moisture damage.

In addition, the frame features the T-socket connection that makes Skywalker special making it extremely stable while jumping. The mat is made of polypropylene, and the included enclosure net is made of polyethylene. Needless to say, both the mat and the net are UV-resistant.

Similar to the Zupapa trampoline, this one also comes with a no-gap enclosure system to protect the kids against accidents. And since it comes with a basketball hoop, you will be able to keep the kids occupied for an entire afternoon without any worries.

This trampoline comes at a price tag of around 650 dollars which is quite cheap considering the quality. Sure, it would have been better if the weight capacity was a bit higher. But for the price, you really cannot complain much.

If you are shopping for your toddler, though, I would recommend going with the Skywalker Trampolines Mini Trampoline with Enclosure Net. Unlike the Jump-N-Dunk, this is an indoor trampoline, so you can set it up in your basement, too, if you want.

Is Skywalker a Good Brand of Trampoline?

Yes, Skywalker is a fantastic trampoline brand boasting impressive design and many safety features. Their most notable feature includes the T-socket connection, which enhances the stability of the poles giving you a much safer jumping experience when you are using their trampolines.

They do have a slight drawback, though. Their trampolines typically have a lower weight capacity compared to some of the other options out there. But that should not be too big of an issue if you are getting it for your kids. Other than that, you will find little worth complaining about with this trampoline brand.

Parting Words of Wisdom

Both Skywalker and Zupapa are great brands in their own rights in the world of trampolines. They both have a lot to offer, and while someone might prefer one brand over the other, I would suggest trying out both if you have the option. I hope my in-depth comparison of Zupapa and Skywalker could highlight all the major differences between the two brands. So, you should have enough information by now to decide which brand is better suited for your needs. Good luck!
