Bounce Your Way To The Top:The Best Professional Trampoline

George Nissen invented trampolines thinking that they would be a fantastic tool for people to improve their acrobatic or athletic skills. It was in hopes that people would use them to perform gymnastic feats never seen before.

Time passed, and all sorts of trampolines were introduced to the world. Now, we have many trampolines that are solely used for casual fitness training or to spend leisure hours. However, there are still some trampolines out there that carry on the torch of the initial purpose. We call or know them as professional trampolines.

Such trampolines are sturdier yet more expensive than the standard ones. They are capable of helping a new gymnast or athlete to reach their goal of becoming a professional.

But now, professional trampolines are dime a dozen. It has become challenging to decide on only one of them. I know a few professional trampolinists myself. Although I am casual, I asked a ton of pros to get a clear idea.

So, I have made a list of the best professional trampoline to make this journey a bit easy for you. I’ve narrowed it down to only seven. You don’t have to take my word for it. I’ll just share my two cents. You can always do you.

Top 7 Professional Trampolines

According to my experience and research, these are the seven greatest professional trampolines on the market. Take a look to have a detailed understanding of their upsides and downsides.

1- Skywalker Rectangle Jump-N-Dunk Trampoline (Best Budget Professional Trampoline)

Skywalker Rectangle Jump-N-Dunk Trampoline (Best Budget Professional Trampoline)
  • Weight Capacity: 200lbs, 250lbs
  • Safety: ASTM Standards
  • Springs: 84 springs (14 ft model)
  • Frame Material: Galvanized Steel
  • Mat Material: Polypropylene

The Skywalker rectangle trampoline might be the most sensible choice if you’re looking to get a trampoline for yourself only. If you’ve been tracking down trampolines, then you have probably heard the name ‘Skywalker.’ They have quite a reputation in the trampoline industry, and you can be sure of the fact that they are not all talk and no show.

First of all, the trampoline comes in two sizes and colors and a few different styles. You can choose between the 8′ x 14′ or 9′ x 15′ models. The color options available are: blue and green. Note that the price will varydepending on the size you choose. It means the bigger version is more expensive than the smaller.

Check The Best Heavy Duty Trampoline Of 2023.

I went along with the 8′ x 14′ model. There was enough space for me to practice stunts and all sorts of moves. The trampoline was pretty sturdy and stable due to the reinforced T-sockets at every enclosure and leg joint.

The overall frame features a galvanized steel construction, which is pretty neat. It also makes the trampoline durable, but I have to admit, it’s not as tough as the other trampolines on my list. However, it’s something you have to make amends with because all the other professional trampolines cost two or three times more than the Skywalker rectangle trampoline.

Anyways, the 14 ft and 15 ft models have a maximum weight capacity of 200 and 250 lbs, respectively. 200 lbs load capacity was more than enough for me, but it won’t be enough for two adults. So, before setting up your mind, remember that the trampoline is not ideal for multiple grown-ups.

If you’re planning to use it for yourself, then it’s an excellent choice. However, if you’re thinking about using it commercially, maybe in a gym or training center, then I would advise you to look at something else.

As an alternative, you can check out the Beast K9 trampoline, which is the complete opposite of this equipment and can accommodate multiple users with ease. It also has no maximum weight recommendation, but it costs a lot more than the Skywalker trampoline.

Nonetheless, the trampoline has a no-gap enclosure design, which you usually see on Zupapa trampolines. It reduces the risk of your feet getting stuck in the springs by eliminating the gap between the net and the spring pad.

All Skywalker trampolines meet and exceed the ASTM standards. It implies that the trampolines are safe and tested by official governing bodies. You will also get a basketball hoop with it, which makes things more exciting because, frankly speaking, jumping on a trampoline for a few hours can get boring.

As mentioned before, the trampoline comes in a few styles. One of the styles features an included ladder, and the other offers wind stakes. I don’t think the ladder is necessary if there are no kids involved. However, the wind stakes might come in handy if you’re worried about rough weather.

What I Liked

  • It is more affordable than the other professional trampolines
  • Included basketball hoop for a fun experience
  • Patented no-gap enclosure net design to reduce the risk of injury
  • Excellent bounce quality due to 84 galvanized coiled springs

What I Didn’t Like

  • Not suitable for multiple adults
  • It isn’t as durable as the other professional trampolines

2- Upper Bounce Rectangle Trampoline (Best Overall Professional Trampoline)

Upper Bounce Rectangle Trampoline (Best Overall Professional Trampoline)
  • Weight Capacity: 500lbs
  • Safety: ASTM Standards
  • Springs: 86
  • Frame Material: Powder-coated Heavy-duty Steel
  • Material: Polypropylene

The next piece of equipment on my list is a personal favorite, and it’s none other than the Upper Bounce rectangle trampoline. I believe most of you already know about Upper Bounce and their trampolines. If you don’t, then you’re in for a ride.

Check Best rectangle trampoline

It has been quite a long time since I got the trampoline. I thought about becoming a professional athlete with the help of it, but that never happened. At the very least, I ended up with some fond memories of the trampoline, so I will still consider it a win.

So, the Upper Bounce rectangle trampoline comes in three sizes. I remember getting the 9 x 15 ft model because the other versions were either too small or too big for my taste. However, it’s a personal preference, so it’s actually up to you to decide which size is optimal for you.

Same as the Skywalker trampoline, the price of the said equipment will differ according to the size you choose. All the models of the Upper Bounce trampoline are significantly costlier than the Skywalker rectangle trampoline.

So, the trampoline features a huge jump surface and a high load capacity of 500 lbs. It was a lot and more than enough for three or at least two adults. I weigh around 180 lbs, so the trampoline had no issues accommodating me. There were some instances when my friends came to visit, and I remember jumping on the trampoline with one of my friends, who weighed around 250 lbs.

So, I can say for sure that the maximum weight capacity checks out. Anyways, the trampoline features a durable frame with four U-shaped legs. The frame uses heavy-duty powder-coated steel to remain sturdy. The unique design and high-end materials make the trampoline resistant to the elements of weather. It also helps the trampoline to withstand the test of time.

Unlike the Skywalker trampoline, this one features a top-flex fiberglass rod to keep the net straight and elevated. In other trampolines, the net creates a ‘U’ shape on the top because it is connected from one pole to the next. However, it’s not the case with the Upper Bounce trampoline, which makes it twice safer than standard trampolines.

Check Best High Bounce Trampolines.

The trampoline has a well-stitched net, 86 heavy-duty springs, and a high-end jump mat. It provides a smooth yet high bounce. Jumping on the trampoline feels like a breeze, and I have to say, I went pretty high while bouncing on it.

Nonetheless, installing the trampoline was a pain in the bottom. It took me a few hours to assemble the trampoline, and as far as I can remember, the instruction manual was close to garbage. My advice would be to search for tutorials online as it will make the job much more effortless.

The Upper Bounce rectangle trampoline is a wise choice if you’re planning to become an athlete. If you’re a trainer, then you can also use it to train multiple students. What I can say is that it is multi-purposeful and probably the best professional trampoline out there.

What I Liked

  • It offers a well-controlled bounce
  • It is long-lasting and can withstand the effects of poor weather
  • Suitable for multiple adults and kids
  • Huge jump surface to improve your acrobatic skills

What I Didn’t Like

  • It is pretty expensive
  • Assembling the trampoline is a nuisance, and the instruction manual is vague

3- JumpKing Rectangular Trampoline

  • Weight Capacity: 400lbs
  • Springs: 128
  • Frame Material: Rust-resistant Galvanized Steel
  • Material: UV-protected Polypropylene
  • Frame Legs: 6

Next up is the JumpKing rectangular trampoline. I’ve heard a lot about the equipment from my friend, so I decided to get one for myself. Well, it’s a decision I don’t regret. I’ve used the trampoline for about a few months, and in short, it was a memorable experience.

First of all, the trampoline is enormous, with a size of 10′ x 18′. It has a generous jumping surface, so there is a lot of space to practice stunts or tricks like cartwheels. The trampoline can accommodate two adults or multiple kids without any trouble.

However, it wouldn’t be wise for more than one grown-up to train inside it. I believe two kids or teens can practice trick jumps together with the trampoline, but with adults, you’ll need to be a little careful.

From the first glimpse, I knew that the JumpKing rectangular trampoline was jacked up. It had a very robust frame construction, probably as strong as the one of the Upper Bounce rectangle trampoline and certainly better than the one of the Skywalker trampoline.

The trampoline has six heavy-duty powder-coated legs for enhanced stability. It has 12 ‘G3’ enclosure poles and a well-knitted net. There is almost no chance of you or your kids jumping out or through the net.

Apart from that, the JumpKing trampoline has a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs. So, two adults weighing less than 200 pounds or a few kids can enjoy the trampoline together. I’ve used it with my wife, and it holds up pretty well.

If you’re looking to become a professional athlete or gymnast, then the first thing you’ll check in a trampoline is the bounce quality. Well, it’s the obvious choice because the better the bounce, the better you can hone your moves.

Anyways, the JumpKing trampoline is famous for its ability to provide an unmatched bounce. The bounce quality is the best part of the equipment, and it’s probably because of the trampoline’s 128 springs, V-shaped spring arrangement, and unique airflow mat design. I felt like the bounce was very controlled, and I could go as high as I wanted to.

Needless to say, the trampoline is dope, but installing it was like finding a needle in a haystack. It took us almost 3 to 4 hours to install the trampoline. I thought the manual would provide some insight, but it was as useless as a no-alcohol beer.

Also, the zipper used to bug me now and then. Sometimes, it used to go down all the way, but more than often, it used to get stuck right before reaching the bottom. It’s an issue I can overlook.

In short, the trampoline had more upsides than downsides. Yes, it will seem like a lot of money at first, but once you have a go at it, then you’ll know why it’s worth the money.

What I Liked

  • The V-shaped spring arrangement design boosts the overall bounce quality
  • Six legs ensure stability while jumping
  • High weight recommendation limit of 400lbs
  • Large jump surface suitable for multiple users

What I Didn’t Like

  • The zipper could’ve been of better quality
  • Installation cannot be done alone and takes a lot of time

4- Happy Rectangle Trampoline (Best Premium Professional Trampoline)

Happy Rectangle Trampoline (Best Premium Professional Trampoline)
  • Weight Capacity: 750lbs
  • Safety: ASTM & TUV
  • Springs: 140
  • Frame Material: Double Dipped Galvanized Steel
  • Material: Polypropylene

If budget isn’t a concern, then you can have a look at the Happy Rectangle trampoline. It is the most expensive trampoline on the list, and even the smallest size available will cost you a fortune. The reason why the trampoline costs so much is because it uses premium commercial-grade material. So, I can say for sure that it’s not throwing money down the drain.

The trampoline comes in a few sizes. All of them are pretty gigantic, even for multiple people, but I should inform you the bigger the size, the costlier it gets. I’ve had the opportunity to use the 10 x 20 ft model, and I think it was large enough for three to four people like me.

It has a massive jumping surface. There is plenty of space for multiple users to practice gymnastic skills. Additionally, the trampoline has a maximum load capacity of 750 lbs. Yes, it’s not as much as the one you get from the Springfree square trampoline, but it is much more than the weight limit of JumpKing and Upper Bounce rectangle trampoline.

The maximum weight limit combined with the enormous jumping surface makes the trampoline suitable for multiple jumpers and users of almost any weight category. It can be used by professional athletes and even to train up-and-coming gymnasts.

If you think the high weight capacity and the gigantic bouncing surface are the best aspects of the trampoline, then you are mistaken. The best feature of the Happy Rectangle trampoline is its build or frame construction.

The frame features 3.0 mm thick steel for maximum stability. Additionally, the steel frame undergoes double-dip galvanization both on the inside and outside to resist corrosion and rust. So, there is almost no chance of your trampoline meeting an early demise.

Anyways, the trampoline features a high-grade polyester mesh enclosure net. It features a patented stay-put design, but I don’t like the fact that the pad remains inside the net. Although the safety pad is of excellent quality, it still makes me uneasy to see it inside the net.

The trampoline has a fantastic bounce quality because of the 9-inch long 140 springs. Standard trampolines have much shorter springs, but the Happy trampoline probably has the longest springs, making it bouncier than usual.

Nevertheless, if you can overlook the price and the enclosure net design, then the trampoline is undoubtedly an excellent choice for people looking to use it for professional reasons. The trampoline is like a one-time purchase, and you can milk the cow for many years.

What I Liked

  • It features commercial-grade material for maximum durability and longevity
  • Suitable for multiple jumpers
  • Big jump surface to enhance gymnastic, acrobatic, or even cheerleading skills
  • Provides great bounce using long heavy-duty springs

What I Didn’t Like

  • One of the costliest trampolines on the market
  • It would’ve been better if the net sat inside the spring pad

5- AlleyOOPVariableBounce 14′ Trampoline

AlleyOOPVariableBounce 14' Trampoline
  • Weight Capacity: 245lbs
  • Springs: 96
  • Frame Material: Alloy Steel
  • Material: Polypropylene
  • Additional Features: VariableBounce Technology

Not all professional trampolines come with a square or rectangular shape; a lot of them can be oval or even round. In the spirit of round professional trampolines, let me introduce the AlleyOOPVariableBounce 14 ft trampoline. It’s a heavy-duty trampoline capable of fulfilling your professional or semi-professional needs.

So, the trampoline isn’t as expensive as the Happy, JumpKing, or even the Upper Bounce rectangle trampoline. It is probably because of its size and shape. Most round trampolines are cheaper compared to their square and rectangular counterparts.

The AlleyOOPVariableBounce trampoline is 14 ft in diameter. So, it doesn’t have the biggest jumping surface out there. The size makes it a little congested; thus, it isn’t suitable for more than one adult jumper. However, it can accommodate more than one kid.

Anyways, the trampoline comes with w-shaped legs and robust frame construction, making the trampoline stable and durable. It doesn’t wiggle when people are jumping on it, and neither does it decay in a short time.

The trampoline has a moderate weight capacity of 245 pounds. I admit it’s not very high but certainly decent enough for an adult or a few children.

Nevertheless, the best aspects of the trampoline are its mat and bounce quality. It uses VariableBounce technology, which makes it more shock-absorbent while allowing it to provide a high bounce rate.

More often than not, the landing part is a little rough on a standard trampoline. However, with the help of the VariableBounce technology, the AlleyOOP trampoline can deliver a forgiving landing. It also helps you to bounce higher than usual.

Additionally, the bounce quality is further improved with the use of 96 high-quality music wire springs. I’ve checked the recoil and bounce myself, and it was better than most of the trampolines I’ve used before.

Apart from that, the trampoline features a tightly-woven net, which is also easy to install. It is also resistant to UV rays; however, the entrance doesn’t come with a zipper. The overlapping front door or no-zip design makes it a breeze to access the trampoline but always keeps the doorway open.

It was supposed to be an innovative design to make entry and exit easier and safer, but instead, the doorway makes it a little riskier. In any case, if you can attach the net tight enough, then it shouldn’t be a problem.

What I Liked

  • Relatively more affordable than standard professional trampolines
  • VariableBounce technology makes it bouncier and more shock-absorbent
  • Large spring pads for kids to rest without having to leave the trampoline
  • High-quality black springs for maximum bounce output

What I Didn’t Like

  • The overlapping doorway design seems a little faulty
  • It is not optimal for multiple adults

6- ACON Air 4.6 Trampoline 15ft with Enclosure

ACON Air 4.6 Trampoline 15ft with Enclosure
  • Weight Capacity: 330lbs
  • Safety: ASTM & CE
  • Springs: 110
  • Frame Material: Galvanized Steel
  • Material: Cross-sewn, UV-treated polypropylene

Looking back, I still don’t know why I didn’t come up with the idea of getting the ACON Air trampoline on my own.

Okay, let me clear things up a bit. Although ACON is one of the most famous industries in making trampolines, I never had the opportunity or felt like getting one of their trampolines till one of my friends suggested I get the ACON Air trampoline.

He was pretty persuasive and insisted I give it a shot. Even after that, I waited a few months before getting the trampoline. To this day, I carry a minor regret for not buying the trampoline earlier and the fact that someone had to suggest it to me.

Anyways, the trampoline has a fairly decent frame construction. It uses 0.8-inches thick galvanized steel pipes with a diameter of 2 inches. The build allows the frame to remain rust-resistant, and it also helps the trampoline to withstand the harsh effects of rough weather.

The ACON Air trampoline is pretty durable but not as much as the Happy, JumpKing, or Upper Bounce rectangle trampoline. It features a unique, high-quality, cross-sewn UV-treated mat, which can be used in almost any weather conditions.

The trampoline features an innovative ACON Air Synergy design. It allows all the springs connected to the mat to generate a strong kick, which in term causes the trampoline to deliver a smooth, controlled, and high bounce.

Apart from that, the trampoline has a maximum weight recommendation of 330 lbs. It can accommodate multiple adults or kids rather easily. There is no single-user weight limit, so anyone weighing less than 330 lbs can enter and enjoy the trampoline.

The enclosure net, on the other hand, feels a bit weak. At first glance, I thought it was of good quality. However, after laying my hands on it, I felt that it could’ve been better. Furthermore, there is no ladder included, so it became difficult for my children to access the trampoline without our help.

Nevertheless, the issues can be overlooked easily as the trampoline costs less than most rectangular trampolines. The price, along with the features, makes it a valuable purchase and probably the best professional trampoline with a round shape.

What I Liked

  • The trampoline exceeds the ASTM and CE safety standards
  • The new ACON Air Synergy design enables it to deliver maximum bounce
  • Moderately affordable
  • It has no single-user weight limitation

What I Didn’t Like

  • The enclosure net seems a bit thin
  • There is no ladder for kids to enter the trampoline without difficulty

7- JumpSport 14′ DoubleBouncePowerBounce Trampoline

JumpSport 14' DoubleBouncePowerBounce Trampoline
  • Weight Capacity: 300lbs
  • Safety: ASTM Standards
  • Springs: 128 + 64
  • Frame Material: Alloy Steel
  • Design: Double Mat

As for the final equipment, I would like to introduce the JumpSport 14 ft trampoline. If you’re looking for a premium round-shaped alternative to the Happy Rectangle trampoline, then this one should pique your interest.

I should inform you that the trampoline costs a fortune. It is one of the most expensive professional trampolines on the market despite being round and only 14 ft in diameter. Now, you may be wondering what’s up with the cost.

Well, the simple answer would be it has two sets of jump mats and twice as much as springs. The JumpSport trampoline is the only equipment on the list with more than one mat and about 192 springs.

So, one of the mats remains on the top and the other at the bottom. There is a small gap between the two jump mats to trap air. The innovative design allows the trampoline to work like a giant cushion, which is shock-absorbent yet lets it dish out a high bounce.

The exclusive PowerBounce technology is something like an extra spring system. The design uses the 128 black high-performance springs and 64 black power springs to reduce the impact on landing while allowing users to jump higher than usual. However, it has a break-in period of a few days, so you’ll need to be patient at the beginning.

Anyways, the trampoline comes with a sturdy frame built with four W-shaped legs. It has a solid well-stitched enclosure net that features an overlapping doorway. The unique entry pocket eliminates the use of a zipper, allowing users to access the trampoline with minimum difficulty.

Apart from that, the trampoline has a weight capacity of 300 lbs. I know it’s not much, but enough for multiple kids or an adult. Needless to say, you can use the trampoline to practice and improve your acrobatic, athletic, or gymnastic skills.

Overall, the trampoline is a good purchase, provided you have the fund to afford it. It is not optimal for people on a budget, so make sure to keep that in your consideration. It also doesn’t come with a ladder; thus, if you want your kids to enter the trampoline without any struggle, then you’ll need to keep a stool or step ladder.

What I Liked

  • Enclosure net with overlapping doorway for easy access
  • Double mat design for a softer landing
  • PowerBounce spring technology to enhance the bounce quality

What I Didn’t Like

  • It falls into the expensive category
  • There is a small break-in period before the bounce is maximum and the landing is soft

A Definitive Buying Guide to Choose a Professional Trampoline

The market is saturated with many professional trampolines, so it’s best to know which qualities make them stand out. Such a trampoline can be pretty expensive, and because of that, you should consider a few things before getting one.

A Definitive Buying Guide to Choose a Professional Trampoline

Overall Build

As professional trampolines tend to be expensive, it’s wise to check out the materials used to make the components. What I’m trying to say is the overall construction should be durable and sturdy, and I’m not only talking about the frame but also the mat and net.

When you’re getting a professional trampoline, make sure the materials are of commercial grade. This way, it will not only ensure the longevity of the trampoline but also the safety of the users.

Anyways, such trampolines are often similar to heavy-duty trampolines, so if you’re looking for more alternatives, then you can check them out as well.

Shape

The consideration of shape is essential in both standard and professional trampolines. It doesn’t matter whether you’re getting a typical or heavy-duty trampoline; what matters is that you decide on a shape before getting one.

A trampoline comes in a few different shapes, and the most common are: round, oval, square, and rectangular. Each of the shapes has its benefits and drawbacks.

Make sure you know which shape is best suited to your professional needs. So, check out the advantages of them, and afterward, make a decision according to your research or knowledge.

Size

If you intend to get a professional trampoline, then size is actually very important. Whether you’re looking to use it for yourself, train an up-and-coming athlete, or for commercial purposes, a professional trampoline needs to have a decent enough jump surface for you or the users to practice different forms of jumps or stunts.

So, make sure the trampoline you’re getting is at least 14 ft in size. However, if you think it’s not enough, then you can get larger models with a diameter of 16, 18, or even 20 ft.

Bounce Performance

As you’re buying a trampoline for professional reasons, it must have a better-than-average bounce quality. You can determine the bounce quality of a trampoline by checking out its shape, number of springs used, mat type, and other features used to boost the performance of jumpers.

For instance, the JumpSport 14 ft trampoline has two mats and 192 springs to dish out a high bounce rate. Similarly, there are other trampolines that use various innovative designs or technology to enhance the quality of bounce.

Weight Capacity

A high maximum weight capacity is always more useful than harmful. A trampoline with a significant weight limitation allows multiple or heavy users to enter and enjoy it.

So, if you’re getting a professional trampoline, then there might be instances where you will want to train more than one of your kids or students to become an athlete. In such cases, a high weight capacity can make the situation much easier for you.

You won’t have to spend the extra hour waiting for one of them to finish before you can monitor the second or third kid.

Nonetheless, if you’re not using it for commercial reasons or don’t plan to use it for multiple kids, then anything around 200 to 300lbs weight limitation is more than enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions about professional trampolines to help you have a better understanding of them.

What are professional trampolines?

Basically, they are trampolines made using commercial-grade materials to endure rigorous training sessions. Professional trampolines are usually more expensive than standard trampolines and often come with a size of 14 ft or bigger.

Do professional trampolines only come with a rectangular shape?

No, they do not. Like the best trampolines on the market, a professional trampoline can come in different shapes and sizes. It can be rectangular, square, round, oval, or have an entirely different shape.

More often than not, professional trampolines last much longer than standard trampolines due to their durable and robust build. However, regular maintenance is the key to increasing the lifespan of any trampoline.

Final Thoughts

If you think choosing a standard trampoline is tough, then imagine how hard it is to choose a professional trampoline. The latter is much more expensive than the former, so a slight mistake in judgment will put you back a few hundred or thousand dollars.

Selecting the best professional trampoline is not something you can take lightly. You need to or should check out even the smallest of details before calling a shot, especially if you’re planning to purchase the trampoline for commercial use.

Anyways, I believe I was able to help you have a better understanding of the ins and outs of a professional trampoline. Make sure to play your cards right, and there is no reason why you won’t end up with the greatest professional trampoline of all time. Good Luck!
