9 Best Trampoline Pads Reviews 2023
Jumping on a trampoline is all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Now, I practically grew up with a trampoline in my backyard, so I understand how exciting it can be.
But if you think the trampoline accidents you see happening on the news will never happen to you, you’re only fooling yourself.
You see, trampoline accidents are a lot more common than you think. But that doesn’t mean that it’s inevitable.
A couple of basic safety checks can ensure your experience with your trampoline is safe and risk-free. I’ve never had an accident with my trampoline, and that’s because my dad always kept an eye on me when I was using it. And he got me the Best Trampoline Pads.
Now if you’re here, I can already say that safety is important to you. Why on earth would you be looking at spring pads otherwise? The entire purpose of the spring pads is to keep you separated from the metal springs in your trampoline. Without it, there’s a risk of getting your limb caught in the springs.
Of course, you always get a spring pad included when you buy a new trampoline. But it can get damaged over time which means it won’t be as effective at protecting you. And when that happens, you need to get a replacement.
So, what are the best trampoline pads out there? There are a couple of great options out there, and I will highlight some of my favorite ones today in this article. With that said, let’s hop in.

9 Best Trampoline Pads Reviews
Picking out the perfect replacement pad for your top-tier trampoline is essential if you want to ensure a safe trampoline jumping experience. But when it’s time to replace the stock pad, most homeowners often have a hard time figuring out which trampoline pad would be the best choice for them.
Well, I’ll get to all that. But first, let me give you a thorough rundown of some of the best trampoline pads that I have used over the years to give you a couple of good options.
1- SkyBound Universal Replacement Trampoline Safety Pad
I go through my fair share of replacement trampoline pads every couple of years. Back in my early days of owning a trampoline, I realized one thing pretty quickly – an aftermarket replacement spring pad is rarely as good as the factory pad that you get with your purchase.
And I strongly believed that until I landed on the SkyBound Universal Replacement Trampoline Safety Pad. Of course, there are many other amazing spring pads that I discovered later on, but this is the one that showed me that replacement pads can sometimes be even better than stock ones.
Now for trampoline pads, the first thing that matters is definitely size compatibility. And with this one, you have little to worry about in that regard. This jumping mat can be fitted on trampolines starting from 8 feet all the way up to 15 feet.
Check best 10ft trampoline.
Keep in mind, though, that the 8 to 12 feet option only works for round trampolines. But the 14 and 15 feet size options are suitable for both rectangular and round trampolines.
This trampoline comes in two variants. First, you have the standard option, which is just like all the other regular trampoline pads out there. You put it around the trampoline frame to cover up the springs.
And the second option here is the quick-install variant. What makes this design unique is that this version is split into two sections, making it much easier for you to set it up on your trampoline. So, if you want to make things as easy as possible for yourself, this is the one you want.
As for the quality of the jumping mat itself, you’ll find nothing worth complaining about. This trampoline pad has a soft UV-resistant PP layer on the outer side, which resists all sorts of weather effects. And the heavy-duty inner layer is perfect for resisting any tearing anytime soon.
I really love how they managed to keep the price reasonable with this spring pad despite its amazing quality. However, some people have complained that the smaller size options of this pad are a bit too small, but I have never had any fitting issues with all the ones that I tried out.
Whether you have a Skywalker, JumpKing, or BouncePro trampoline at your home, you should be able to use the SkyBound Trampoline Pad without any issues at all. It’s an amazing replacement that will ensure a safe and fun trampoline jumping experience for you or anyone using it.

What I Liked
- Excellent build quality
- Two different variants for you to choose from
- Different layers of PP to offer the best protection
- Easy installation steps
What I Didn’t Like
- The standard version is a bit harder to set up than the quick-install one.
- The smaller sizes might feel a bit too tight.
2- Exacme Trampoline Pad Replacement
Exacme might not be as big of a name as Upper Bounce or Skywalker but ask around, and you’ll see that those who have tried out their trampolines never had anything bad to say about them. And as it turns out, their aftermarket accessories are just as good in terms of quality.
I’ll be honest – I only tried out their trampoline replacement pad because a friend kept nagging me over and over again. But once I did, I could see what all the hype was about. The spring pad is fantastic, and the amount of flexibility you have when you buy it is pretty good.
The size options for this trampoline pad are pretty versatile, allowing you to choose from small 8 feet pads to up to 16 feet. So regardless of whether you have a small trampoline or a big one, you should be able to find one that fits like a glove without too much hassle.
But the issue here is that this trampoline pad is only suitable for round trampolines. So, if you have a square or an oval trampoline, you’re out of luck. On the bright side, though, each of these sizes also gives you the option to choose from different colors. That means you can match the frame with your trampoline’s color and theme.
While its flexibility is a good thing, the best part of this trampoline pad lies in its build quality. It uses a blend of 310g/m² PVC for the top layer and a 130g/m² PE layer at the bottom to make it fully resistant to wear, tear, UV, and water. So you can expect it to last you a long time without showing any signs of damage.
In addition, the EPE closed-cell foam padding between the top and bottom layer of the pad helps it absorb shock from all the bouncing you do on your trampoline. It also gives a bit of weight to the pad, ensuring it does topple over as you are jumping on the mat.
The trampoline pad is on the pricier side, though. It costs about ten bucks more for the smallest size compared to the SkyBound model that I reviewed earlier. But if you ask me, the extra price is completely worth it for the added durability.
Another thing to know about it beforehand is that the trampoline mat doesn’t come with any holes for the enclosure pole. So, if your trampoline design requires holes in the pad, you need to cut it out yourself.
What I Liked
- Resistant to all forms of damage
- Close-cell EPE foam absorbs shock and vibration
- Available in a wide range of sizes
- Multiple color options to choose from
What I Didn’t Like
- Only suitable for round trampolines
- The pad doesn’t come with any enclosure pole holes
3- Skywalker Trampolines Spring Pad
Skywalker is a pretty popular trampoline brand among homeowners. They make safe, affordable trampolines that are perfect for family fun in the backyard. But like any other trampolines out there, after a couple of years, the spring pad or enclosure net requires a replacement.
And if you have a Skywalker trampoline at home that is in dire need of a replacement spring pad, why not go with an official Skywalker pad? When you swap out the old pad with the new one, it will feel like the new trampoline you got all those years back.
It’s suitable for select models of Skywalker, though. And if your trampoline isn’t listed in the compatibility list, you might be better off going with a different set of spring pads. So, make sure you check the compatibility list to see if your trampoline made the cut.
As for your size options, there are only two – 12 and 15 feet. But you have four different color options, though. But yes, the limited compatibility and size options for this trampoline do limit its usability. However, if the spring pad fits your trampoline, your overall experience with it would be amazing.
The upside here is that this trampoline pad is suitable for both round and rectangle models. So, what you lack in terms of size, the trampoline pad makes up for it by giving you more flexibility in your trampoline’s shape.
The quality of construction is decent. It’s pretty much the same pad that comes with your new Skywalker trampolines. That means it has a PVC construction that can resist UV rays and also absorbs shock and vibration to some extent.
And since it’s a Skywalker product, you’ll also get the benefit of a full 1-year warranty with this spring pad. So, if it tears or gets damaged within that year, you can easily get it replaced or serviced by the manufacturers.
Now, the price for this trampoline pad, considering how straightforward it is, does seem a bit unfair. If it was cheaper, this would be my go-to spring pad every time. But because of its price, I believe it doesn’t offer as much value as the SkyBound or Exacme trampoline pad that I talked about before.
Then again, for Skywalker trampoline owners, going with this spring pad is the best way to make sure their trampoline and spring pad are perfectly compatible with each other.
What I Liked
- Decent build quality
- Perfectly compatible with select Skywalker trampoline models
- Available in different colors
- Works with both round and rectangle trampolines
What I Didn’t Like
- Size options are limited
- A bit too pricey for its design
4- SONGMICS Replacement Trampoline Safety Pad Mat
If your trampoline is in need of a replacement pad, but the budget’s tight, the options that I talked about so far might seem a bit too much for you. They’re all amazing safety pads, there’s no doubt about that, but not everyone has the luxury of shopping without thinking about the cost.
Well, in that case, SONGMICS is the perfect brand for you. They are proud manufacturers of high-quality, affordable recreational trampolines, and the aftermarket parts they provide for trampolines are pretty amazing, also. I have yet to find any major issue with any of their trampoline parts.
The good thing about the brand is that its aftermarket parts are not designed to solely work on their own trampolines. So, you don’t need to have a SONGMICS trampoline for this trampoline mat to work. It will fit perfectly on trampolines made by other brands, too, as long as the size is optimal.
Speaking of the size, you have plenty of options. Similar to the SkyBound trampoline mat, the SONGMICS replacement pad is suitable for trampolines ranging from 8 feet all the way up to 15 feet. But keep in mind it only works for round trampolines.
Construction-wise, this trampoline pad is pretty similar to the Exacme trampoline pad. It’s split into two layers – the upper layer is made with 310 g/㎡ PVC, and the bottom layer is 130 g/㎡ PE material. And it also has an EPE foam sandwiched between the two layers.
What that means is that despite its relatively cheaper price tag, you’ll not find it lacking in terms of performance. It’s perfectly waterproof and has enhanced tear and UV resistance to ensure it lasts you a long while without requiring a replacement anytime soon.
The downside here is that, similar to the Exacme trampoline mat, it doesn’t come with any holes for the enclosure poles. So, you need to cut it out yourself. Another issue that some people complained about is that the smaller sizes feel a tad too small in some cases. But since I went with the 14 feet option, I didn’t notice any such problems.
Overall, it’s an amazing trampoline mat that lasts long, offers excellent protection, and doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg. So, if you’re on a tight budget and want to replace that worn-down old safety mat on your trampoline, this is a great one to go with.
What I Liked
- Durable build quality
- Universally compatible design
- Available in multiple sizes
- Comes at an affordable price
What I Didn’t Like
- Doesn’t come with holes for the enclosure poles
- Size inconsistency with the smaller options
5- Giantex Trampoline Pad
As a brand, Giantex really requires no introduction. For trampoline enthusiasts all over the world, this brand stands as an example of quality and performance. And as it turns out, their aftermarket parts, like their replacement nets or this trampoline pad, for instance, are made equally great.
The first time I tried out this replacement pad was around five years back, and it lasted me around two years. That’s not an easy feat to achieve for a trampoline mat, especially considering the amount of abuse I put it through. Later on, however, I had to switch to a different one, but more on that later.
The size option for this trampoline pad is pretty flexible. It’s available for small backyard recreational trampolines of 8, 10, 12, or 14 feet. But it’s also available for bigger trampolines of 15 or 16 feet in diameter. As long as it’s a round trampoline, you’ll have no problem finding the right fit.
Of course, that also means that it’s only compatible with round trampolines. So if you have a rectangular or oval model in your backyard, you’re out of luck. But since most homeowners go with a round trampoline anyways, I don’t think that’ll be too big of an issue here.
The overall build quality of the trampoline pad is impeccable. Giantex carefully selected the PVC and PE materials that they use to manufacture this trampoline pad to ensure the highest level of water and tear resistance in the safety pad. As I said earlier, my one lasted me about two years.
The foldable design of the trampoline mat also makes it extremely easy to disassemble and store. So, if you plan on disassembling your trampoline to secure it against high wind, the easy-storage design of this trampoline pad will be extremely handy for you.
But just like any product from a big brand, this trampoline pad does cost a pretty penny. So, if you’re on a tight budget, this might not seem all that appealing. However, if you want the best performance and safety from your replacement pad, there’s no beating this one.
The trampoline pad comes in two color variations. First, you have the standard blue color mat, but if you want to really add a splash of refreshment to your trampoline, consider going with the rainbow safety mat. It looks very pretty and should make your time on the trampoline even more exciting.
What I Liked
- Extremely durable design
- Compatible with any round trampolines
- Foldable design makes storage easier.
- Two color options to choose from
What I Didn’t Like
- A bit on the pricey side
- Only available for round trampolines
6- Trampoline Pad Spring Cover by Trampoline Pro
Safety should never take a backseat when it comes to trampoline. The safety mat in your trampoline wears down naturally over time. and while you might be tempted to keep using the trampoline in that condition, I would strongly recommend going with a replacement pad as soon as possible.
And since there are many brands out there that offer affordable, high-quality replacement pads, there’s absolutely no reason not to get one right away. Here’s another of my favorite replacement pads by the folks at Trampoline Pro. It’s priced well and does the job that it sets out to do perfectly.
Designed exclusively for medium-sized trampolines, this trampoline pad is available in three sizes – 12, 14, and 15 feet. I know this somewhat limits the people who will find use for this trampoline pad. But if your trampoline falls into this category, then this is a great choice to go with.
What it lacks in size flexibility, though, it makes up for it tenfold in its design and build quality. It comes with double rubber ties included with your purchase to ensure a secure fit. Once installed, it will remain firmly planted on the frame providing safety for the jumper.
Made using high-quality tear and water-resistant PE material, this trampoline pad ensures top-notch durability without asking for anything in return. It boasts a unique multi-piece design to make installation easier for the user. And disassembly is also pretty effortless.
For its size, the price of the trampoline mat is pretty decent. If you compare it to the similar-size models of the SkyBound trampoline, the price will seem pretty much the same. So, you’re getting a decent bit of value for your money.
But yes – the size option is somewhat of a downside to this trampoline mat. Since most homeowners go with a high-quality 10 feet trampoline for their backyard, they might not be able to make much use of this trampoline mat. But if you go with a bigger trampoline, this mat will fit like a glove.
You get two color options with this trampoline mat – blue and green. And while it might seem pretty bland, I am a big fan of the green option. Yes – I would have preferred some more color options, but it’s still a great mat that provides excellent protection to elevate your trampoline jumping experience.
What I Liked
- Excellent choice for mid-sized trampolines
- Two color options to choose from
- Compatible with any round trampolines
- Multi-piece design makes installation easier
- Good value for the money
What I Didn’t Like
- Not suitable for smaller trampolines
- Only available for round trampolines
7- ACM GLOBAL Trampoline Accessories Safety Frame Pad
If the name ACM Global seems unfamiliar, I won’t blame you. I was also a bit confused as I had never heard of the brand before. And as someone who likes to keep himself updated with everything that goes around the trampoline world, this was surprising to me.
Well, ACM Global is basically Eurmax, and if you know your trampolines, that name should sound a lot more familiar. The brand sells its aftermarket trampoline parts and accessories under the name ACM Global, and its safety pad is extremely popular among trampoline owners.
Similar to the Trampoline Pro safety pad, this one is only designed for a moderate sized backyard trampoline. That means you can only use it if you have a 12 feet, 14 feet, or 15 feet trampoline. If your trampoline is bigger or smaller than that size, then you need to go with a different option.
But despite this lacking, this is a great trampoline safety pad. As long as your trampoline is the right size, you can expect it to give you an excellent experience. The build quality is great, and the same pricing for all three sizes gives you amazing value for your money.
The safety mat is made of a double layer of PVC with around .6-inch thick EPE closed-cell foam on the inside for excellent shock absorption. Because of the material choice, the pad resists all forms of damage. So if you keep your trampoline out in the rain, it won’t damage the safety pad.
For a hassle-free setup, this trampoline pad comes with 16 double tie-downs with your purchase. Once you set it up with the tie-downs, the pad feels pretty secure and prevents easy access to the springs to protect you against any accidents. So, the jumper can jump safely without any worries.
But yes, there is a downside to it. While the double-layer PVC construction does lower the cost of the trampoline pad, I would have liked it more if the bottom layer was made of PE. That would make the spring pad more secure, but I understand how the manufacturers had to cut corners here.
The trampoline doesn’t have any color variations – what you see is what you get here. But as a basic safety pad that has a few extra bells and whistles, this is a great choice to go with. Just make sure the size of your trampoline is compatible with the size options of this safety pad.
What I Liked
- Comes at an affordable price tag
- Simple and straightforward design
- Decent build quality
- Easy to set up
What I Didn’t Like
- Not suitable for smaller trampolines
- It would be better if the bottom layer was made of PE.
8- Kangaroo Hoppers Universal Trampoline Replacement Safety Pad
What I Liked
- Plenty of size options
- Excellent price tag
- Double layer PVC and PE material offers excellent durability
- The thickness of the trampoline pad enhances its safety features
What I Didn’t Like
- Setting it up is a bit difficult
- Would benefit from a bit more color variation.
9- ULTRAPOWER SPORTS Trampoline Replacement Safety Pad Spring Cover
The ULTRAPOWER SPORTS Trampoline Replacement Pad is an amazing choice to go with. If you’re wondering why I didn’t place this option higher on the list, the reason is that it’s pretty expensive. But if your budget is of no concern, then this is the trampoline pad that you need.
The size options for this trampoline mat range from 10 feet to 15 feet. So, unless you have a compact 8 feet trampoline in your backyard, you should have no trouble finding this mat in your trampoline’s size. And as a bonus, you also get to choose from four exciting colors – blue, green, pink, and multi-color.
As I said already, the best part about this trampoline pad is its material quality. Similar to the Exacme trampoline pad, this one comes with a dual-layer construction, with the top layer being PVC and the bottom layer being PE. And you also get a thick foam layer in the middle.
But what makes this pad better is the quality of the PVC and PE. The PVC density is 350 g/㎡, and the PE density is 150 g/㎡, which is noticeably higher than what you will get with the Exacme trampoline pad. And that means the material will last longer and will offer better protection against water or tearing.
Safety is the primary focus of this trampoline mat. Thanks to its 11.8-inch wide design, it keeps all the springs tucked neatly under it, preventing access. So, the user will have no risk of accidentally touching the springs while jumping.
Of course, the downside, as I said already, is the price. And if you overlook the price, the other drawback here is that this pad is a bit heavier than normal. While that can be a good thing, as it means it will remain firmly planted on the frame, it also means that setting it up takes a bit more effort.
But apart from that, you’ll find little else worth complaining about with this trampoline. It’s made well, has plenty of color options, and also is suitable for a wide range of sizes. So, if you’ve got the budget for it, and your trampoline is the right fit, this is a great one to consider.
What I Liked
- Compatible with a wide range of sizes
- Has four different color options
- Higher density of PVC and PE.
- Extremely durable construction
What I Didn’t Like
- Installation can be a bit hectic
- Not very affordable
What to Consider When Buying the Best Trampoline Pads
What’s the secret to ending up with the best trampoline pad for your trampoline? Answer – proper research.
I know how tough it can be for a new trampoline owner when the time comes to replace the stock trampoline pad. But if you take your time and do some digging on which things matter more, you’ll be able to pick up a fantastic trampoline pad for yourself.
Here are a couple of things that I always check when I am buying a replacement trampoline pad.
Size and Shape Matter a Lot
The first thing you need to ensure when you’re buying a trampoline pad is whether it’s the right size and shape. Though the most common shape for recreational trampolines is round, there are also square, rectangular, and oval shaped trampolines that are available in the market.
And if your trampoline falls into one of those categories, you need to get a trampoline pad that’s specifically designed for that shape. You also need to check the size of the pad. That means, if you have a high-quality 14 feet trampoline in your home, you need a safety pad that’s designed for a 14 feet trampoline.
Durability is an Obvious Concern
Replacing the trampoline safety pad means extra expense on your end. And if your replacement pad starts tearing up after a couple of months, that doesn’t feel good. That’s why it’s always a good idea to check for the material quality and durability of the new replacement pad.
Now, I’m sure you’ve noticed how trampoline pads could feature different materials. Ideally, you want to go with a double-layered spring pad that comes with PE at the bottom and PVC at the top. This material combination ensures the highest durability and water resistance.
Thickness is the Ignored Hero
As odd as it sounds, the thickness of the spring pad also matters here. With a thicker safety pad, you’ll have a bigger wall of safety between you and the springs. A thicker spring pad also increases the overall lifespan of your trampoline pad and absorbs the vibration in the frame as you jump on the trampoline.
When you’re going with a double-layered trampoline pad, make sure there’s a layer of foam that’s at least .6 inches thick between the two layers. This will bump up the overall thickness of the spring pad to around an inch which is the magic number for the thickness of a trampoline pad.
Ease of Installation Can Save You Hours
Setting up a trampoline pad is nowhere as difficult as setting up a new trampoline, but depending on its design, it can still be a bit complicated. Some trampoline pads are easier to set up, while others can take you a while because of their extra weight and overall design.
The Quick-Install variant of the SkyBound Trampoline that I discussed above, for instance, is a good example of a trampoline pad that’s easy to install. Typically, a trampoline pad that has a multi-piece design is easier to set up than a standard trampoline pad. If you want an easy time setting it up, it’s better to go with a multi-piece safety pad.
Color Variations Make a Trampoline Vibrant
While definitely not as important as the other factors that I talked about, it’s still a good idea to take a look at your color options when you’re shopping for a replacement trampoline pad. The most common color for a safety pad is blue, but you can find different color options depending on the pad you’re looking at.
Having the option to choose from different colors will give you a chance to customize the look of your trampoline the way you want. This is not a huge factor, but it’s still worth a thought if you want to get the most out of your money.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a couple of questions that people have asked me in the past about trampoline safety pads.
Can you use a trampoline without a safety pad?
Yes, you can. However, I will strongly advise against it. If you happen to land on the spring when you’re bouncing on the trampoline, there’s a high chance that your feet will get caught in the springs. That can lead to severe accidents, to say the least. So always make sure your trampoline has a safety pad installed before you use it.
Are trampoline pads universally compatible?
No, trampoline pads are not universally compatible. Though trampoline mats are usually compatible with different brands of trampolines, you need to make sure the size and shape of the pad match that of your trampoline.
The Bottom Line
Trampoline pads are an essential part of the trampoline itself, ensuring a safe jumping experience for the user. But like any other component of the trampoline, it can wear down with time. And when that happens, the best thing to do is get it replaced as soon as possible.
Now that you’ve gone through my list of the best trampoline pads, you should have plenty of great options to consider. Make sure you double-check the size and shape of the trampoline pad to eliminate any compatibility issues. Good luck!
