If I had to choose between a solid backboard or a fabric backboard in my basketball hoop for trampolines, nine out of ten times, I would go with the former. And having tried it out for myself, I can say that this is not a bad choice at all. It features a good design and is made with sturdy materials that can survive the test of time without any issues. The backboard is made of solid plastic, which is pretty decent in quality, and the net is made of mesh polyester.
In addition, since the rim of the hoop is padded, you won’t have to worry about damaging it while dunking. The hoop diameter is a bit larger, capping out at 12.6 inches, but that’s not that big of a deal when you are getting a 6.3-inch rubber basketball to throw in it.

Now, I don’t typically vouch for basketball hoops that feature a fabric backboard, and I have two reasons for it. For one thing, the ball does not bounce off it that well, which breaks the feel of the game for me. And secondly, they rarely last as long as a high-end hoop with a solid backboard.
However, trying out the Jump Slammer Trampoline Basketball Hoop opened my eyes to how far these basketball hoops have come. This hoop, in particular, is an amazing example of the potential that this design can have. But then again, it has one major flaw – it is expensive.

As I already said – when it comes to the best basketball hoops for trampolines, I tend to avoid those with a fabric backboard. But the truth is, if you are short on cash and want an easy solution, they can work wonders. Not everyone wants to spend a lot of money on a backyard toy that the kids will use.
And it’s okay. I used fabric basketball hoops myself as a kid, and they are extremely fun. Just make sure you are going with a decent option like this one by Botabee which I have used in my childhood. A poorly made fabric hoop can easily rip after a couple of months.
Of course, price is the main selling point of this basketball hoop, but another good thing about it is its extremely hassle-free installation. It comes with two pole caps with adjustable cords that you have to attach to two of your enclosure poles. You can then rip off the adhesive strips on the back of the backboard and attach them to the enclosure quite easily.
The rim of the hoop is padded, which means even if your kids decide to dunk, the hoop should be fine. It is surprisingly well made, and once you put it on, it will stay on until you decide to take it out yourself.
